Libro D’amore

Monica- The person who receives the love letter, music business person
The date in which the movie was produced was on April 5, 2011
Locations used: Monica’s House, Car, Mailbox, Patio
Props: Paper, Pencil, Guitar, Envelope, Sweater, Suit, Dirt, Mustache, Car, Dog, Table, Watch, Dumpster, Bag, Garbage Can
Song: “Come Together” by the Beatles
What inspired us to do the first film ideas are the situations that occur now at days such as relationships, living in poverty and suddenly becoming known in society, among others. The project was not easy, especially trying to get all the shots the teacher required, also the time limit, and the editing was challenging. The movie is very complex in the sense of the different themes and situations we involved in the plot such as love, rejection, hopes, downfalls, and coincidence.

A Day in the Life of Sonya

I choose this video because I found the animal to be very cute and adorable. The video basically describes a typical day in the life of this animal, from feeding it to tickiling time. Also these creatures, Slow Lorises are an endangered species, so this video can help promote saving them. :)

Movies I Dislike

Movie#1:
Star Trek
William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy
A narration of the early days of James T. Kirk and his fellow USS Enterprise crew members.
I don’t like these movies because they are too serious to be fiction. I find no point in the plot theme and the message or lesson is not present. Also naval fiction interests and bores me.

Movie#2:
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakqueal
Zachary Levi and David Cross
This movie takes place in a  high school were the world famous trio singing group faces the everyday troubles of school like bullies and girls. Also another trio of singing chipmunks called The Chipettes.
Alvin and the Chipmunks had a negative impact on me because it was painful to watch, I even fell asleep at one point. First of all their voices are squeaky and extremely annoying. In addition, the plot is very weak and predictable. Lastly, there are two groups of singing chipmunks. Double the trouble.
Movie#3:
Tooth Fairy
This movie is about a hockey player whose nickname is the Tooth Fairy, but ironically he doesn’t believe in the Tooth Fairy. And he makes sure he tells all the children that the Tooth Fairy doesn’t exist. Hence, forcing the head Tooth Fairy to teach him a lesson by turning him into an actual Tooth Fairy. While dating a woman who has two children, which he quickly must make friends with.
This movie was so horrible that I actually fell asleep watching it, but the little I saw was pretty bad. It was not funny, the "witty" parts were not witty and the main character was quite cliché and poorly portrayed. Also the storyline is very predictable.

Movies #1:
50 First Dates
Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler
This movie is about a man who lives in Hawaii and falls in love with a woman but she suffers from a disability. The woman has short term memory loss. She only remembers one day at time since the day of the accident. But he still wants to be with her. Eventually they stay together and he refreshes her memory every day.
50 First Dates made an impact on me, because it was a unique movie. It was funny in all the ways possible and in any part that could be funny was. The movie also showed the viewers that anyone can have a chance at love. Without any limitations, even if someone has an incapacity.
Movie #2:
Little Miss Sunshine
Steve Carell, Toni Collette, and Greg Kinnear
This movie is about a family that joins a beauty pageant competition. They travel from Albuquerque to California in their VW Van. It’s all about their journey to from pageant and how much they grow, in ways they did not think possible, in that travel.
This movie impacted me because it was really different. The message of the movie was powerful and it was demonstrated to the audience in a peculiar way. Also all of the characters were very well developed and portrayed. It really is just a great movie.
Movie #3:
Click
Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale
Click is about a man who is an architect but he is a workaholic. He always puts his work before his family. He meets this man, Morty who provides him a device. A universal remote that remote controls the universe. He begins by fast forwarding fights, job hours and eventually family time. By doing that he loses himself and his family. Ultimately, he notices that family should come first and he get a second chance at starting his life over.
This movie made an impact on me because it emphasized the importance of family. It shows us the truth of what can happen if you do not value what you have.
Movie #4:
Monsters Inc.
John Goodman and Billy Crystal

This movie is about two monsters that live in Monstropolis. Sully is the best scarer and mike is his trusty sidekick, but when a little girl escapes into their world it’s their job to get her safety back home while also trying to keep Randall away from her.

Monsters Inc. was a movie I really enjoyed because it cute, sweet, and funny. Also it was quite ingenious, because the topic and plot are different and very well executed.
Movie#5:
Life is Beautiful
Roberto Benigni and Nicolette Braschi

This movie is about a Jewish family that goes to the Holocaust. The movie describes the family’s journey through the concentration camps and how they survived.
Life is Beautiful made a great impact on me, because it was such a heart breaking story which was wonderfully told. Plus it is Italian! Also it is the perfect mix of all the elements that could be in a movie, it’s funny, sad, romantic, and suspenseful.
